Chris, many thanks for the good word about X1 being free. I have used it as my desktop search engine of choice for a little over a year, when I bought it at a reduced rate. It's a great program.
I have downloaded the current version -- the one that is now free -- and am delighted to see that in the time I have been using X1, it has also had a couple of minor upgrades.
Incidentally, having switched all my browsing and desktop email to Opera, I can add that OperaMail has a great search feature, as well as being the most enjoyable email client I have ever used.

Hallo Chris and Daly,
What are the advantages of X1 over some other free indexing programs like Copernic, Google, Yahoo etc?
Thanks,
Wojciech
