I've added an RSS feed for the latest 20 forum posts. This also allows a way to get email notifications when new messages are posted by using one of the following free RSS-to-email services:

Chris,
Would it be possible to have a real sender of a message under the 'From:' header instead of 'Chris Murtland webmaster etc'?
Thanks,
Wojciech

Wojciech,
The RSS feed file format has one header where that information comes from - each individual post does not have a from field. There is an "author" field that can be associated with each item (post), but this is really for the email address of the author, and I'd prefer not to expose any member email addresses.
Once I get to the point where you can get email notifications directly from the site rather than just through RSS, I could add the poster's information to the From header - but I'm not sure even that is a great idea because many people may not want anyone to contact them through their email address.

Chris,
Thanks for your explanation.
Yes, sure, I understand. What I meant was the possibility to see the name displayed on a given post - and not real name or email address - rather than always yours.

Hmm, the poster's name or nickname should appear after the post title in each post. What feed reader software are you using, or are you using the "forum posts via email" feature?

I use Ome Pro. With the default layout I can see the beginning of each post, which looks like that:
Chris Murtland webmaster@outlinerssoftware.com
and the beginning of the second line, with the first words of the title.
Yes, of course, I can adjust the layout so to be able to see the whole line but then not all messages contain the name/nickname. For example this one is OK:
GMail and Opera: A Progression - Graham Smith
but the next one misses the name:
GMail and Opera: A Progression
Oh! Chris, at this point I noticed that the body of these message are the same. It means that actually I have been receiving some of the messages twice, one with the sender name/nickname and another without. This is probably a bug in Omea?
Well, I think I should not raise this question at al. Sorry Chris, just please forget this topic. And thank you once again for all you have done to keep this forum running.
With best regards,
Wojciech

Wojciech,
You may have gotten some of the messages twice because I made some changes to the file early on - the first version did not have the poster's name at all. Once I added that, Omea probably thought the items were new and downloaded them again.

Chris,
many thanks, indeed. Everything is clear now and yes, all recent messages looks fine.
All the best,
W.
