A few weeks ago when ClipCache Pro was on sale, I bought it, although I didn’t have time to do research at the time whether that was the best one of all. I know there are many free ones and Mark also mentioned ClipMate in the other thread. Which are the Clipboard extenders that OutlinerSoftware members swear by? I’m just wondering if I’m missing any killer features with ClipCache… (So far I’m quite happy with it.)

The most useful feature of ClipCache for me is the ability to remove linebreaks. I copy a lot from PDFs and paste them into PIMs and having to fix broken text manually annoyed me for a long time.

Haven’t been using one so much lately, but when I do (sound like the Dos Equis guy), I like Ditto (a freebie). Works over a network connection - copy something on one computer and it’s automatically on the clipboard of other computers on your LAN. I don’t know if it has a feature for removing line feeds but wouldn’t be surprised ... that is useful.

It depends of course on what you want to do with it, but I believe that ClipCache is one of the best. It is also my personal favourite though I don’t use it that much. See this testimonial from a veteran user http://www.outlinersoftware.com/messages/viewm/9997
Clipmate is probably more powerful, but I found it also rather heavy on the interface side.
@Jim thanks for the heads up on Ditto; I didn’t know of any shared clipboard other than Agynamix Simidude, and Ditto also happens to be free (though Simidude is very modestly priced, as you just need one license per network). Will keep it in mind. That said, Simidude is cross-platform (Windows/Linux/Mac) which for me is essential.

Great, thanks, that puts my mind at ease.
