Hey Folks,
I too have had GV since the DOS days. I loved it and used it to write a number of books. I rarely use it now. So much so that although I’ve been running Win7 for a while now (got it when it first came out), I just noticed that GV will not run under Win7, even with trying different compatibility modes.
I searched around for a solution, and found something. It is an open source DOS emulator called DOSBOX that does run under 7. Here is an article on it:
You also have to remember to mount the files with the command prompt.
It is actually pretty easy to use. Hopefully you still have some command line skills at your fingertips. It is not perfect, but then again, having GV as a dos only app all these years is not perfect either! But, it does run under Win7.
Cheers!

You can consider UV Outliner as a Grandview clone for windows. It’s a (free) single-pane outliner like GV with the ability to add columns to each item, like GV. Find it here
