From memory, I think I discarded this one because it doesn’t allow recurring tasks, which seems a rather major failure given its otherwise full feature set.

Where did you find the “free” version? I can see only ad-supported one (or paid). From the web page:

It integrates with Outlook and apparently uses Outlook’s recurrence. I don’t know how Outlook communicates to Accomplice though.
