Nobody seems to be talking about TotalNotes

I have tried lots of PIMs and one of them was TotalNotes. It has pretty much all the components that one would expect from a PIM. It has notetaking(called books), email client, RSS reader, browser from where you can save webpages or snippets (lots of option), Calendar, Contacts, spreadsheet, a built in RTF to PDF converter. Well I really like the number of features thrown in. But for some reason I am not able to commit to it. I can’t find the exact reason for it. But I think it is the looks. Somehow the appearance of the software does not convey a very professional look.
Anyway, would like to see what other members here think of TotalNotes.

amateurish, buggy, and no new development since last August - so probably has hardly any users. The Company, Richskills, tried to develop and launch multiple products all in the same timeframe - I imagine they choked on such excessive ambition?
Having said that it did look interesting at the time - and maybe has potential if the developers were to completely get behind it - but that’s at least a years work to come even close to mature products like UltraRecall, or DoOrganizer (gemx) which is more like Total notes, but way better done, fully supported, and continuous development.
That’s my brash 2.0c worth :-)

I gave it a quick test drive a few months back. My notes read, “Basic PIM functions plus email, ugly interface, few options to customize. $49.95, for God’s sake.”

hmm, I checked http://www.taonotes.com and it shows multiple updates this year. I have followed TaoNotes from a far for a over a year. It holds great promise for ex-Ecco users. My problem with the app is that it changes so fast, including GUI. Most importantly, there is no manual or user guide. The developer keeps promising one but to my knowledge there still is nothing.
