I’d like to be able to dictate quick voice notes into my Android phone, and end up with transcribed text in a PIM on my PC. I’m sure are many apps and ways to accomplish this, but I’m wondering if there are any outstandingly good apps or methods out there. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

I no longer CRIMP, but I used to because of the following needs/problems, whether consciously or unconsciously felt:
1. mental fragmentation
2. inability to efficiently determine best next action
3. mental resistance due to info fragmentation and lack of reliable procedures
4. lack of tools needed to execute info workflow

As far as transcribed notes, Google Voice comes to mind. You could set up a Google Voice account (separate from your Android phone), and call it to dictate. It can then forward your transcription as an e-mail message to you. You could then set up an automatic forwarding of this message to some service like Catch or Toodledo. I do not find its transcription all that accurate, but it is free, and YMMV. Let us know what you choose.
Good luck,

I’d suggest posting the same question on the Knowbrainer.com forum. They specialize in voice recognition and could tell you what apps, if any, are available for the Android that might do what you want to do.
