Jan, Dominik, Cassius, and Kenneth, thanks for your posts.
I appreciate the gentle admonitions to calm down, as well as the suggestions about using a registry cleaner.
My question is why things that worked one day, all other things being equal, would stop working the next day.
That part I find scary, and makes me very nervous about putting faith in a piece of software.
Also, let’s say I clean the registry—is that in itself usually sufficient for setting new program preferences and having them stick (I obviously know next to nothing about registry stuff and, in fact, have been encouraged by our IT guys to stay away from the registry).
Also, is there any reason that a developer would choose to use a program such as Launchy, rather than develop their own web clipping connection.
Many thanks.

Daly,
I had a similar experience with UR the last few days; the program began crashing regularly after installing FF 2.0.0.3. Launchy would work sporadically.
My solution:
Uninstall UR.
Clean registry (I use TuneUp Utilities 2007)
Reinstall Ur.
Compact & Repair.
All is OK now; so far!
