I had tried out the free version of Smereka in the past - and now after reinstalling I
remember what I did not like about it. It doesn't support the standard navigation
keystrokes. I'd like for keystrokes to work in the navigation pane the same way they do
in Windows Explorer, where you can move around the tree, expand/collapse, simply
using the arrow keys. Also if possible I'd want to move between panes using the Tab
key.

Don't know if things are any different in the paid version.

Jimspoon, in latest versions, "you can move around the tree, expand/collapse, simply using the arrow keys". In the paid version you can also customize key shortcuts for almost all operations. Using the TAB key is not supported, but you can customize key shortcuts for commands like "Jump to tree view" and "Jump to item view".

Hi folks, just thought I'd update you all on latest developments on the Smereka front. First, just to say that I've invested in the TreeProjects version, and it's very nice. But I did run into some problems with the search function, especially when running searches across imported HTML pages (which TreeProjects can import by the file or folder - useful). So I contacted Yaroslav, who's been amazingly responsive, and he tracked down the problems (turned out to be stop word-related, plus a minor issue with conflated text in imported HTML), so version 1.0.2 has now been released and no longer suffers from these issues. Plus Yaroslav has added manual index rebuilding for those sad bunnies like myself who feel reassured by such tools.

I have found another - no doubt minor - issue with Chinese and Japanese characters, however, but I've reported back to Yaroslav and I'm sure he'll be looking at it soon. TreeProjects is growing on me! Especially because Yaroslav is so helpful - that's always very encouraging.

Cheers,
Bill
