A Bad Sign?

This morning, suffering from a flareup of my persistent CRIMPing problem, I browsed through some of my stored "PIM to check someday" links, and downloaded a trial copy of something called "Desktop Set." The publisher's web page did not look too promising... everything had a mid-90s look and feel to it... but a minor detail like that is hardly enough to dissuade a serious CRIMPer.

A few minutes later, installation complete, I opened up the program's calendar module. The initial date that appeared was some time back in 2001, and I quickly discovered the program won't handle dates past 2005.

Now that, my friends, is a sign of a program whose useful life passed a while ago.

But I wonder what it says about my own condition that I went so far as to download and install the clunker?

CRIMP- some day there may be a cure. Until then, learn to recognize the symptoms, and seek treatment before it's too late.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Checkout the system requirements at the bottom of this page:

Thanks for the laugh.

How about this: even after reading this post, I found myself fighting an urge to go download the software to see what it was.

As they say on the commercials, if this urge last for more than four hours, seek medical attention.
