V5 Safari has introduced extensions, so I hope Evernote soon has a Safari extension.

Hi, Daly.
I’m not sure what such an extension would do but Evernote integrates pretty well with the Mac through the desktop client. For certain things like clippings work very well (there’s a persistent status icon in the menu bar and, of course, setting up a hot key should be trivial). Perhaps it would enhance the experience when Evernote is used through the browser interface somehow?
Also if you are looking for a program that interacts well with the Mac environment, pay particular attention to DevonThink. Its not evident because much of that interaction takes place through scripts that come with the program. I know that many of us avoid such things but its worth reading over the manual carefully.

Hey Tom, thanks for the post.
I use the desktop client. However, I find with Chrome it is faster to use the EN extension and clip to the cloud. When I open EN, whatever has been clipped to the cloud is synced with the desktop app.
Once I receive my Mac I immediately plan to download and buy Omnioutliner and DevenoThink. I’ve printed out the manuals for both of them - and I can hardly wait!

Understood.

I understand this, too, but don’t get your hopes up *too* high. :)
DEVONThink’s a good program and I keep virtually all of my data in it. And its getting better. I like the things the developer has planned for release fairly shortly.
But, like all programs, I could talk a long time about its flaws, too. A good look at the forums gives you an idea of the long list of features on the “Someday/Maybe” list. Some of them may surprise you.
Cheers,

Tom, what do you see as the flaws, and what I should be aware of as I get into Devon Think?
I just started a new threat on getting back to the Mac, describing my CRIMP overdose, and listing the programs I have downloaded. Any insights are welcome!
Thanks.
