I'm hoping to get some more people trying my WriteRoom 4 Preview.
Downloads: https://www.hogbaysoftware.com/writeroom/releases/
There's a two-week free trial, and WREARLYBIRD gets you 50% off if you decide to buy soonish. It's a preview, so there are probably still some bugs. Let me know what you find.
It's a distraction-free writing app (WriteRoom invented the phrase, so I can say it non-ironically).
It's also a Markdown editor, with quite a few notable features:
- High-fidelity DEC terminal theme: transport yourself to a different place and time.
- Also, other modern themes with high-resolution type.
- Extreme performance: Moby Dick × 1000 and beyond.
- Heading Overview Mode (Option-Command-O) is fun!
- Folding, syntax hiding, and quite a bit more.
More details in the guide: https://www.hogbaysoftware.com/writeroom/guide/
Thoughts and feedback encouraged!
P.S. If you're wondering, Bike 2 is very much alive in preview form. I've been posting releases in my forums, and it's been very stable for a while now. I just haven't committed to an actual release yet. Soon! I hope.
