At first I was bothered that almost all the features of the app I'd be interested in require you to pay for the app. But you can subscribe to pro for just $0.99 per month (there is also a reasonable lifetime purchase option if you decide you like it).

I've been playing with it over the weekend, and find it to be an exceptionally flexible take on your standard outliner. There have been a couple of previous apps that allowed you to extend outlines horizontally (can't remember the names, offhand), but this is IMHO by far the most elegant (and gives you the option of extending vertically, too – now that's unusual). Some of this behaviour I can emulate in Obsidian (using e.g. Gingko-alike Lineage), but not as easily/flexibly.
Argh! A CRIMPing moment approacheth!

Finally another horizontal outliner like tree. I missed Tree. I never understood why horizontal outlining was not a bigger feature. It just makes sense. Rather than burying further subsections vertically. They're just placed in another column.

Importing both iThoughts and Tree formats?! And the website built with Rapidweaver? The dev must be an old-school deep-cut Mac outlining geek.
App looks interesting but I don't want to use an app whose developer deliberately hides his identity. Telling me he's located in Glasgow and is somehow related to Pizza Monkeys Pizza (https://pizza.shakingthehabitual.com/about/ is not enough.

Yes. He does let you set the font size in a slider which goes up to 20points/px.
I want to be able to set my own size, usually 24points.

Hi all -
I'm Stuart - the developer of Traverse. Great to see this post and to read your all of your comments. Happy to answer any questions and to consider any feature requests that you may have. Tree was a big inspiration - it and iThoughts were my 2 favourite outlining/mind-mapping tools and both unfortunately fell away.
A little about me...I created my first iOS app back in 2017. It was called Versus and was an advanced scorekeeping tool (I released a v2 of that last year). Since 2018 I developed addons for RapidWeaver / Stacks (that pizza website was a demo/template file that I created). In the last couple of years though I have got back into developing for iOS/macOS - the latest of which is Traverse. There is also a free Traverse companion app for iOS that lets you create and edit opml files when on the go.
p.s. Thank you macosxguru for the review and your post here!!
