Obsidian as writing tool

Thought I'd just put in a quick note about an Obsidian plugin I've just discovered: Canvas2Document. Basically, it generates a complete document from all or selected cards/notes on an Obsidian canvas (with a wide variety of arrangements possible). It does it in two phases (both neatly covered by icons in the sidebar): first, a draft "everything you could possibly want, including YAML, lists of links etc." version, followed (once you've decided exactly what you want) by a "clean" version.

It's a very impressive piece of programming, optimised for writers. Another plugin which complements the above very well is Canvas Markdown Side Editor, which allows you (exactly like Mark's MojoPad!) to edit cards in a canvas in a sidebar editor, so you don't have to plunge into the individual cards (always a PITA).

Also useful is Folder Canvas, a simple plugin that transforms the notes in a given folder into a canvas. Very simple, but exceedingly useful.

Ideas for those of you who use Obsidian for long-form writing!
