Fans of Bear on macOS/iOS will know it as a very pleasant markdown environment with its own database of notes etc., nice to use, fast to sync, etc.
Now Bear have released the beta of Lettera, their answer to Typora – i.e. a markdown editor that can be used on markdown files anywhere on your Mac. Because, alas, it is restricted to Mac (unlike e.g. Typora, Obsidian, HelixNotes, Octarine, NotesHub, ZenNotes and many other excellent markdown editors).
I mean, I love Bear, but I removed it from my machine long ago after discovering the vastly more powerful (but also fast and pleasant-to-use) Obsidian.
However, many people will be thrilled, and maybe they'll bring out a mobile version...
The Lettera website is here: https://lettera.md – you can join the beta programme.
Cheers,
Bill
