Chinese Impact on ADM

A question I have wondered about from time to time with re to ADM, is the extent to which the Chinese market has dictated the course of ADM.
ADM began as a Canadian product. A few years ago Eric moved to China, and I have never been quite sure what, if any, impact this had on Arne’s relationship to the product, or to his influence on its development.
But I am curious to know the extent to which the Chinese imperative has determined the course of the product.
Perhaps Chinese capital ensured ADM’s survival.
But did Chinese terms of references delay a product for the English speaking market?
And, what kind of ADM exists in China?
Has anyone on this list seen the Chinese ADM—or has a way of accessing it?
Just curious.

Has anyone here seen a Chinese version of ADM?

Hi, Daly,
I’m from China. I usually keep an eye on information management/processing softwares to find suitable software for my work. As I know, CyberArticle and Mybase are popular among Chinese users in Chinese version of PIM softwares. I didn’t heard about Chinese version of ADM so far. Maybe few people in Chinese even knows about ADM.

Samal, thanks for your post.
I am familiar with Mybase—I do not know CyberArticle.
ADM is being developed in Beijng, but apart from that I do not have a sense of what the target market is.
What ADM offers that Mybase does not is the ability to handle metadata through use of columns and in-document metadata cards—also ADM has a system of keywords, and direct access to the Internet.

Daly, from the response you got, it sounds eerily familiar doesn’t it?
