I have been trying Craft as a possible replacement for Walling and found it to offer many interesting features for how I work. I was on the fence about subscribing despite a 30% off coupon, but earlier in the week they started running a promotion with Readwise offering 50% off subscriptions for life using the code READWISE50 - https://www.craft.do/pricing . I am not sure how long this promotional will run, but it did knock down their personal plan to $3.99USD/mo. with annual subscription. I decided to subscribe knowing that I can cancel next year if it turns out not to be my cup of tea. But given the lack of response from Walling when I wrote several weeks ago, It seemed time to develop an exit strategy.

Craft has been doing a lot of sales. In February they offered a “Lunar New Year” sale with a 40%-off lifetime discount, and on Black Friday they offered 50%-off for life.
The current deal at https://www.craft.do/readwise says it’s “for Readwise users” (which isn’t free after the 20-day trial), and when you click from there https://www.craft.do/pricing there’s no mention of lifetime pricing (but I have no reason to doubt it because it’s mentioned on other pages). But there might be a snag if one does not have a paid Readwise account.

I thought the same thing, but also recall reading on one of many linked pages that they were extending the pricing to existing Craft users. And I did write them that the annual price was for life, and not some promotional using that phrase.
