I’m working on theme system for in progress Bike 2.
You can see how it works in this video tutorial:
Or try it out if you want to download the preview:

Bike 2 isn’t ready for day to day use, but is the best time to make theme related suggestions and requests.

Theming is an excellent addition. I took a peek at your 35-minute video but didn’t have time to watch the whole thing… but I hope for an easy user experience in creating themes that improves on coding a file.
I’d like to point out the excellent WYSIWYG theme-building web page for the Highland 2 writing app ( https://highland2.app/ ), which makes creating themes fast and effortless.

The site also allows users to share themes they created

This way easy theming doesn’t have to be built into the app, as it is in Ulysses, for example.
Ulysses lets users easily create and edit WYSIWYG themes in-app, and it too offers a user-shared theme section on its site, with search/filters based on theme type hashtag, download popularity, and newness.

The theme pages above for both apps also show previews of the themes, which might be useful in creating Bike themes.

Yes, the current theming is very focused on power/flexibility, but it’s a full programming environment, not something that most users will be able/expected to use.

It look like these theme systems are color sets. I don’t know when I will get to it, but I could add a separate color set editor that just generates a list of colors that the theme would then read.
Will think about it, but I think that could work.
