It remains ridiculously slow & many times provides the following instead of a connection:

Unable to connect to database server
The MySQL error was: Too many connections.
---
It's not like this forum is heavily trafficked. So, if 4-5 people log on at the same time, it goes down? Pretty silly.
Pierre, with all due respect, I think it's time to change servers.
And as for the error(s) I reported on Mantis when I finally got thru, you can ignore them even tho the issue was never resolved. I reconstructed by databases from backups as I couldn't wait any longer.
