This is true of so many of the new apps. And so many don't give a free trial. And the worst require a one year subscription right off the bat - fortunately this last is still relatively rare

Hunch does provide a free trial. It uses Stripe's "Link" service for payment, which annoyingly doesn't provide a cancellation option, but I emailed Hunch support and Matt canceled my subscription promptly.
