After what seems like a very long time, Southbeach Modeller (sic) has a new release—version 4. Notes here:
Windows-only, Southbeach is a sort of “Tinderbox for Windows”, though it comes with a large number of pre-built sample models and guides that are lacking in Tinderbox.
I haven’t used Southbeach for a few years, but looks interesting for at least trying out the updates.

I’ve just downloaded the trial and read all the documentation, sample models etc. I feel like I dimly perceive in the distance what it’s for, but find the explanations confusing. Anyone here who actually uses the software for a real use cases who can give a simple explanation of how they use it in problem-solving?
The ‘creativity engine’ seems to be about producing prompts in a side window while you brainstorm so you can add new ideas to the model? How do you use cues?
It appears to be for brainstorming, not for notetaking, since it has a ‘find’ function that can only find text in the open file, does not search notes or comments, nor is there a ‘find and replace’ function if you want to rename something.
It doesn’t appear to have a user forum to ask questions, so perhaps someone in this group knows more.
