Any Suggestions for a MacOS Outliner: Why Windows Outliners are Much More Powerful Than MacOS

I know there are plenty of outliners in the App Store and I have tried most of them. I have been.a long time user of Windows OS outliners like UltraRecall which I've been using for over 20 years now. I also have tried MyInfo and RightNote.

One interesting observation is that there is no similar outliner for the MacOS. On Windows, there are plenty of third party UI controls for Win32 or .NET frameworks that sell very powerful tree controls with top notch features e.g. sort (manual auto), hoist, cut/copy, drag to/from, filter, set flags, set colors, collapse/expand, rename, wrap titles, set tree lines, recycle bins. Furthermore, all three apps above use sqlite as their storage. This, again, provides very powerful stability features like recovery from crashes, atomic changes, etc.

These outliners also allow for the capture of multiple types of documents such as html, RTF, pdf, grids and allow to view/edit them via internal viewer/editor without having to install third part apps.

Even though I installed and tested majority of outliners on MacOS, none has come close to what the three apps I listed above offers. The closest I have found was Devonthink, but it is more of a document manager than an outliner (as it was suggested to me by their support forum) since it really relies on filesystem folder structure to mange its tree inheriting its limitations e.g. manual sort of tree does not persist across devices.

I have reached to the developers of all three apps I listed above, but none is interested in porting their apps to MacOS.

Have you come across an outliner that is similar to any of the above apps for the MacOS.

Thanks
