Exporting from UpNote

I’m still experimenting with UpNote and have begun using it for certain categories of information, but I’m not clear about what would happen if UpNote were to go under. (It’s only a two-person operation.) Has anyone here tried exporting an UpNote notebook to another app?
I’m aware it will export in HTML, PDF, and Markdown. What should I know about potential problems in using one of those formats to transfer my data to another note-taking program?
I should add that I have no intention of abandoning UpNote; I’m just trying to envision a worst-case scenario.

I don’t know, but I wonder, too. I IMPORTED all my notes from Simplenote, but would also like to know how to export.

Export is easy. I’d suggest creating some of the most complex notes you think you would ever write, export them in markdown and then import them into whichever alternative seems best at the moment. (markdown probably the most commonly accepted import format in note apps.)

Personally, I leverage the backup functionality. Backup daily with Export backup to markdown ticked. I occasionally rename the folder with the date in the name.

And I do similar with Heptabase where all the backups are in local markdown (&json) files.
