Suggestions for a Task/Project Management Software that has a 1:1 mind map view?

Correction: IQ does have a built-in card view (I now see that the original post referred to “Kanban/card-type of view”). I was just referring to kanban-type functionality, which is also achievable in IQ but requires some set-up.

Hi Lucas,
Indeed Kanban is possible in IQ, and the sample database includes such a view. It is configurable as you say, you can even have 2 or more Kanban columns in the same column, stacked. Columns (i.e. states) need not be mutually exclusive (i.e. dragging an item from one column to another *can* leave the item there (i.e. item shown in both columns)

By dynamic text field, I mean something I can insert images, tables, etc. into - like you can in ClickUp’s text field or in MS Word.

You could also try Zenkit Base. It includes a “Hierarchy” view and a

This might be great! I’m trying it out (as of ~10 minutes ago) and it seems okay so far—the only thing I’m struggling with is that the mind map view doesn’t seem to populate, all tasks have to be dragged manually. However, the knowledge base says it should, I think, and I messaged support on it. We’ll see.
(I’d also love if I could add icons to tasks, I’ve been using TheBrain and I’ve found that adding an icon is really effective to me for identifying tasks vs. reading through all the text.)

Thanks for the recommendation - since there’s a portable I’m going to give this a shot.

Pierre I have to say I’m impressed with the features. I just started going through the manual and I can tell it’s going to take a while to demo this, I’m really hoping this works out though. I saw something about information being able to be linked to multiple parents and such in a couple of reviews, does that mean there’s something like thebrain.io’s Plex view somewhere?

Hi,
This was written a couple years ago, and quite a few things have been added since, namely [[ ]] in-line item links and ## in-line tags but it is nevertheless quite comprehensive:
