I threw together a quick and dirty user option for hiding muted users and have set 22111 as muted. Go to "My Account" in the left side and check the last box. You will need to log out and back in for the setting to take effect. It currently doesn't affect the RSS feed and there may be a few page numbering issues if you decide to use this option.
I don't like being heavy-handed, but personal attacks are not welcome here.

Sometimes, you don't have the options you'd like.
I appreciate your hospitality and the fine intellectual discussion found on your site.
All the best - should you post an online tip jar, I'll contribute.

I know it was distasteful for you to provide a mute option, and I'm sorry that one user made it necessary. Thank you for making the correct choice.

PS. And another +1 for the tip option. Please let me contribute.

Yes, sad situation, but you did what you had to do.
I hope you consider the tip jar idea.
Thanks for all you do here.

Chris, you have carried the water for all of us for many years. Time for us to have a way contribute to the burden.

I moderate at another forum, and it is never easy to take action against somebody. We all tried to see if it would smooth out, but at some point, action often becomes necessary, and is usually the option of last resort. I know you did not make the decision lightly.
Thanks, Chris.

+1 here, too. Thanks for doing this. Also, +1 to a tip jar for your time and efforts.

Thanks for the support everyone. I've added a tip jar (goes to my PayPal business account) and also removed ads from the site. Still hoping to get back to the redesign I started a couple of years ago soon...

Looks like the tip jar works. I'll keep it in mind for future months.

Thanks for doing this. I had been driven away by the change in tone brought about by a few users, and hope to check the site regularly again. Although, to be honest, the fact that I am so happy with logseq also means that the original motivation for coming to this site so many years ago is not there anymore - I have my outliner!

You may have The One True Outliner, but what of workflows? Organization within your use case?

It's good to see you again! I would also be interested in your use of Logseq and how it works out for you.

Indeed – great to see Luhmann again!
But Obsidian is my open-source outliner of choice – I've looked at LogSeq again, and been unable to fall in love with it in quite the same way.
Especially since I've started playing with various web-publishing options for Obsidian... Webpage HTML Export is an astonishingly competent plug-in that can be used to generate simple static HTML websites. And Obsidian Publish is also vastly more powerful than it was, although it still lacks a full-text search function (it only searches page names and headers).
