NoteTaker looks nice, but I see the comment that it serves in “capturing, organizing, and retrieving any kind of information in an intuitive electronic notebook.”

Since it says “an” electronic notebook, I take it that all notes go into one common file.

GrowlyNotes’ web site says “all the open notebooks can be shown in tabs in one window,” by which I assume I could have as many notebooks for as many projects as I like.

I wish knowledge and note apps made it clear whether or not separate files are supported versus one bucket for everything, and whether or not cloud resources are optional.
