@satis
I started this new thread so as not to hijack the security thread.
I have rarely—at least not in recent years—been as enthusiastic about software as I am of Legend. It has really “sync’d” with my brain, I think. The more I use it, the more impressed I am. It isn’t perfect, but the developers continually improve it.
It’s Google-centric only in that its calendar syncs with Google Calendar. But you don’t need to do this. I don’t use Google Calendar, by my iCalendar syncs with Google and consequently with Legend. I’ve only just started using the Legend calendar more, so I may uncover some inconveniences, but so far so good.
I’ve written about Legend a few times on Medium. Here are links to those articles:

They should give you a good idea of how it works… or at least how Legend works for me.

I’d like to hear how it works for you. It renamed itself from Moo.Do just last summer, and I remember it being fairly limited to living inside Google apps (and Google’s storage) when I checked it out under the previous name.
