I’m in the midst of an app crisis at the moment. I’ve got too many in use, which leads to fragmentation of information. At the same time, I can’t nail down which ones I really want to commit to - apart from OmniFocus, which I’ve used since it was just scripts for OmniOutliner.
So my list is:
1. Brainstorming: iThoughtsX, Curio
2. Random Notetaking: Drafts, TheBrain, Goodnotes (iOS), DEVONthink Sorter/Notebooks, TheBrain (Mac)
3. Scheduling: Fantastical (iOS), BusyCal (Mac)
4. Task Management: OmniFocus
5. Thought Processing: OmniOutliner, iThoughtsX
6. Knowledge Archive: DEVONthink Pro, TheBrain
7. Project Knowledge :: DEVONthink Pro, Notebooks, Agenda, TheBrain, OmniOutliner… I have a problem here!
8. Diary: Day One
9. Journal: OmniOutliner, TheBrain, Agenda
10. Writing: Ulysses, MultiMarkdown Composer, iA Writer
I have challenges around 2, 7 & 9.
