Note—your data is encrypted only in transit and only via SSL. For data at rest (i.e., stored on their servers) the policy is silent and one must assume the default case that the data are not encrypted at rest. The policy is also silent about backups of your data that the company might make. In other words, transmitting data to TheBrain—like almost any other cloud service—is entirely at your own risk.
Which is why they say in their policy “To ensure the highest level of protection of the information you disclose to TheBrain, we recommend that you not disclose any sensitive personal information about yourself to TheBrain.”
