I certainly hope NoteMap becomes a real contender. But I must wonder when I read "accolades" claiming it is better than GrandView. It doesn't even come close yet...but maybe it eventually will. If it does, I'll buy it.

I've been using NoteMap for about a month now. It is the best Windows outliner I've tried, and I feel like I've tried them all (except for the new MaxThink). It's easy and mostly pretty intuitive to use. A lot of the key strokes are the same as in GrandView. I guess that's the best thing about it. I can get in, start outlining quickly without trying to remember which keys do what. I that way it becomes sort of invisible, leaving the content and me to work things out. I have Inspiration and tried using that outliner, but it just never felt very intuitive. There's no question that GrandView was a stronger product. With the ability to assign categories and due dates to nodes or items, GrandView served as a fairly powerful project manager -- especially for its day. I hope that NoteMap might add these features at some time. Anyway, I know I've said most of this before, so I apologize for being redundent, but I do like NoteMap.
