Well, this app is certainly a contender for my next outliner purchase.
I guess my problem with the comments are that I just find the fonts too large. I usually keep the outline at 10 points and then these huge funky looking comments pop up and are just soooo loud. Minor niggle I suppose.
Right now Inspiration is my main outliner but I hate it’s interface. I went so far as to use a resource hacking program to remove the funky artwork that was on the toolbars. They do have a nice feature, sorta like the export I mentioned, but it saves a portion of an outline within itself. I guess it would be refered to as “drilling down”?
I like the fact that NoteMap has more of a standard interface. It’s a much nicer app than Inspiration or PC Outline. And it feels pretty solid.
Now if you could “borrow” some features from the Windows version Maxthink! Poor Neil is slaving away at programming it but so far the Beta/Alphas have been horribly clunky (even by Beta standards). I think he is making a big mistake by programming it himself in Visual Basic. From what I understand VB is not the greatest platform for developing outliners. Regardless, Maxthink is conceptually a brilliant program. I love the way, depending on the settings, that it is always in hoist mode.
Anyway, thanks for taking my suggestions into consideration. I look forward to seeing what you come up with in future versions.
