I agree that Zoot is a powerful, ingenious piece of software (Tom Davis is a fellow Vermonter, so I’m doubly fond of it). But talk about making an investment of time to learn a piece of software! I’ve been using Zoot for a couple of years now. It has taken me this long to start feeling comfortable with its vast and almost supernatural powers. Even now I’m probably tapping into only about 10 percent of Zoot’s potential. I am eagerly awaiting the Rich Text version too, but judging from the deliberate pace of development, it may be a while until we get there. One thing that Zoot doesn’t seem very handy at is just making quick notes to myself for quick and easy retrieval later. It’s certainly doable, but not as convenient as I’d like it.
