Steve C,
I’m sure you’re familiar with these features; it is just my clumsy description that has muddied the water. I’m refering to two different functions of Grandview. The first is the link you can create from an item in one outline to another outline altogether. You do this by using File > Link > Create. The way I used to use this feature was to create a project list which was my “mission control” and which Grandview would open to, then I would link each project item to a separte outline with information specific to the individual project. Using GV’s hot keys (which don’t work on my laptop) I could navigate quickly between all my projects—like hyperlinks in Windows, but much faster.
The second feature is the result of pressing the F5 key, which brings you to a clean wordprocessing screen where you can focus just on writing under that one topic. Pressing F5 again toggles you back to the outline.
I hope that clears things up a little.
