My all-time favorite outliner is actually a to-do list manager called In Control, by Attain Software, for the Mac, out of business for the last several years. It is so compelling that after 6 months of leaving In Control for Palm's suite of software products, I went back to In Control. (And this from a gadget guy who uses his Palm daily.) It's drag and drop scheduling from an outline list of to-do items and appointments is its strength. Also, items can be edited directly in any view of the data, instead of some clunky pop-up and fill-in template.

For others of you who like to do lists, in hierarchical format, what do you use? In Control's not going to work forever, as OS's move on.
