1. If only there were a way to copy at one time more than one page of a DOS program we could use all our old favorites!
2. Apparently outliner programs can be extremely difficult to program in some of the current languages, hence the problems encountered by the developers of both Maxthink and PCO for Windows.
3. Some of us use outliners as PIMS. If YOU do, you undoubtedly use SEARCH. If so you should check out MY feelings about the latest version of SEARCHOPIA shareware:
Searchopia 3.00, also known as Searchopia IE is great! Ver. 3.00 has many new features, perhaps the most important of which is the ability to search multiple paths in a single search. The only other search utility I know of that can presently do this is Smart Text Finder and I think Seachopia is faster…but check them for yourselves. It can also filter based on extension, search for partial words, complete phrases, etc. I’ve only found 2 tiny nits. The install put an icon on my desktop did not put a shortcut on my Start menu. This is easy enough to do yourself. (Just copy the desktop icon and paste it into the Start menu wherever you want it to be. Also, when viewing saved web pages (.mht, etc.) Windows warns that you have to be connected to the Web. Wrong! Ignore the warning and just open the page. Since I downloaded Searchopia IE I have not used any other file /text search program (except in comparative tests). Nor have I found ANY bugs. You can download it to try at http://members.aol.com/sunrizen/ .
