One program that nobody mentioned so far is called Writer’s block. I use the program a lot to write research papers or fictional writing.
Unlike other traditional outline programs, the writer’s block program uses the visual boxes and columns to organize the ideas. It has certain limitations in the current verison (2.0), but they are working on additional features for the next version.
As far as Maxthink for windows, it has not been released yet.
I spoke with Neil more than a month ago, and he then stated that the release is immiment (within a week), and I ordered the upgrade ($95). However, since then it has been delayed every week. My weekly phone calls to him only returns another delay. I have already paid for the upgrade about three weeks ago (my credit card was charged), but the product is nowhere to be seen (how about that for a ghost product).
I am getting skeptical since I have had a bad experience with another product that suffered from a similar type of delay. I eventually had to ask for the refund after that product was released, given bugs and design problems.
I hope the same fate does not await Maxthink.
In the meantime, check out writer’s block at http://www.writersblocks.com.
