Is there anyone out there who knows how to use Borland's Delphi to program a text-based (within note) outlining interface?
I would love to see this interface added to Skwyrul which is my favourite information manager. Skwyrul is a freeware/careware program and so it wouldn't be possible to pay for the advice.
If there is anyone who knows how to program the interface I will raise the possibility with Andy Stevon Walker who is the author of Skwyrul.
You can contact me via: Philip.Sutton@green-innovations.asn.au
By the way Andy has a BETA version of the new generation of Skwyrul out for testing. It's got lots of new features and, so long as you keep away from the bugs, is very useful as is. But it will be much better again when the bugs are ironed out.
You can download the BETA version 4.0a it from:
http://www.geocities.com/skwyrul/
The previous version is no longer on Andy's web site but can be downlaoded from my organisation's website:

Cheers, Philip

Phil,
Considering the difficulties Neil seems to have had with developing a Windows version of MaxThink and the problems Peter has had with PC Outline for Windows, I expect that what you want will be a substantial task.

My experiences with PCO/Win were very similar to Jeffrey Smith's and Steve Cohen's.
I find this all pretty interesting. Hardware has advanced 2-3 orders of magnitude on all fronts from when PCO first appeared: CPU benchmarks, memory space and disk space are all 100 to 1,000 times greater. Supposedly there has been great progress on the language front since Assembler days. Yet updating PCO into the Windows environment so that it works as well as the original, plus fonts, OLE etc. seems just beyond our grasp. Why?
