I used to be an Ecco pro user. I would like to use it again as an outliner. I no longer have my original disks or registration information, and NetManage won't provide it. I downloaded a trial version I found, but it is only good for 30 days. Does anyone know how to get past the 30 day limit?

Harold, contact Neal Gantz (nealgantz@earthlink.net) who I'd expect to be able to help you. He was the last person I know of who sold Ecco Pro. The Ecco Pro support groups are still active on the Netmanage server you might check them out as well. Tom Hoots' web site is also very helpful http://www.members.home.net/eccotom
I know this doesn't directly answer your question but I hope it does help.

Try doing a search on E-bay. That's how I got a copy, still in it's shrink-wrapping, for about $9.00.

Hello members of the discuss.outliners.com community!

I'm surprised that no one in this community has mentioned NDMA's HyPerform. Though the software is not actively marketed, it has been available since 1994. It takes the concept of outlining to a whole new level of sophistication. It is actually more of a thinking tool than a mere outliner. I tried a demo version of it back in 1994. Felt it was a little beyond my ability then. Now I want to take another look. For more information, check out www.ndma.com/ I believe that there is a downloadable demo version available.
