I’ve been using OS 9 since I got my new G4 in Feb. Since I stabilized my installation & extensions, I’ve had maybe 2-3 crashes / week. Most that I have had seemed associated with modem/Web activities. I’m a daily user of MORE 3.1 and it seems stable.
One suggestion: kick of the Preferred RAM of all of your applications. With 256 MB of RAM, I usually kick application RAM by a factor of 2-5. Currently I have MORE set for 4500 K ‘preferred’ (‘suggested’ is default 1250 and ‘minimum’ is 750).
I hope MORE continues to work in the ‘box’—grew up on the product line starting with ThinkTank 1.0 on the Apple // & progressing through PCs & al Mac versions—I’d be crippled without it.
HTH,
Frank
