This is kind of strange—but it seems we were both wrong on one point, at least I now test it on my system. We had agreed that NoteMap 2.0 erases the matter selected if you type when a topic is selected. I thought this might be a good thing. Actually, I hadn’t used NoteMap in a while, or I would have recalled that I am sometimes frustrated by the opposite behavior, just as in CaseMap—NOT different from CaseMap, as I had reported.

When I select a topic and start typing in NoteMap, the Windows convention isn’t followed. My typed letter gets appended to the selected note, right after the point where the selection ended, that is, at the end of the note without any space. I don’t know if it functions differently on your system. Or perhaps I misunderstood you, and only I was confused.
