Hello,
Yes, Text Block Writer is a free alternative to Writer’s Blocks (I think WB has an embedded word processor to drag and drop the cards). But I don’t think TBW can easily be compared to SuperNoteCard (remember I’m a big fan of this one). SNC cards can be structured in hierarchy and has very advanced features dedicated to fiction writer (associations, rythmn, character view, etc), while WB and TBW let you fill blank “dumb” columns. In fact, I find them pretty useless, certainly because I don’t have the need to organize things in columns in my writing process. When I brainstorm, I rather use the memoboards of Quick Note Plus (http://www.conceptworld.com): a kind of big window (and not the desktop!) for colored sticky notes. When I begin to structure, SNC comes in…
Story Master Pro may be interesting, but the GUI is too… uh… see for yourself: http://www.writersharbor.com/Screen/Main.jpg
Regards,
Sebastien
PS: SNC 1.7 was out in december and it’s really great now!
