Stephen,
I have a written a more detailed reposnse to you directly.
The key points possibly of relevance here are:
1. Either with my own creation, or the Lawyers template, I can emulate Casemap reasonably well in Zoot, and in some respects the Zoot approach is more versatile, but not as polished -particularly in term sof the reporting.
2. Judging by the features that CaseMap offers, I can see a lot of similarities with a great deal of what I do, which is gathering interelated facts, that I can ascribe to a source or authority, that need to be viewed and reported in a wide range of formats. Most of which rely on some sort of timline.
I haven’t really found anything to do this as I would like, but now using CaseMap as a model, I can see me uisng Zoot much more effectively that I have been doing. Or if I actually buy CaseMap, using CaseMap or Zoot depending on the context.
