Daly,
I too think keywords are very valuable. I wish I could find my way to dealing with the InfoHandler interface, but I just can’t get over that hurdle. But surely IH is the most innovative user of keywords, as you’ve mentioned many times. It solves the major problem of keywords, which is that the list grows very quickly. That’s the trouble with a program like Personal Knowbase. Each time I use it, my list of keywords soon grows longer than my list of notes. PK is a decent choice for storing notes on a project by project basis, but then you lose the syncronicity (if that’s the appropriate word) that can occur when information overlaps from project to project. If MyBase can give us the power of keywords with the structure of a tree, then it may be on to something. What would be really stupendous is if keywords could cross databases, and a click on a keyword would list all items from all open databases that are associated with that keyword. But there I go again, hoping for everything in one program.
