When writing my comments on MyBase, I commented on how badly it formatted some tables, well this can be fixed by copying the most recent version of riched20.dll, into the MyBase directory. Available in a Office service pack or with Office 2003. its explained in an faq on the myBase web site
There is also a preview of version 5, available, few features seem to be working in the preview, but the new features are posted below, and link from the Yahoo group are posted below.

Now we have a test version included the done options/features for preview, if you have interests in the test version, please download it via this link: http://www2.wjjsoft.com/cgi-bin/download.cgi?m=gm&fid=mybase50test
What’s New:
1. Multi-Database, Allows more than one .nyf databases to be open at a time. Loading another .nyf db will not unload the current one any more.
2. Multi-Document, Allows more than one documents to be open at a time. Each loaded .nyf db will have separate child windows for the associated RTF notes.
3. Keep Document Visible, By default clicking on an outline item unloads the previous note and loads the next one. However, you can change this behaviour if you want more than one items to keep visible on the screen, just select ‘Window/Keep Visible’ menu item, which make the current document stick to the window, clicking on another item will open up a new window for that item’s documents. So you have the convenience of viewing different documents in the main frame at a time.
4. Multi-Window, Each item can have more than one windows, whereby you can scroll the docment views separately. This could help when you need to refer to different portions of a long document at a time. Note: only the document in the first window is editable, others are in read-only mode.
5. Item copy/cut/paste, Allows you to copy/cut a db item, and then paste elsewhere the item is allowed. This helps when you move outline items across a long item list. And it works efficiently when source item and destination item reside in the same db.
6. Item drag-drop improvements, Drag-Drop is already available in v4.x, although many users thought it’d better if it complies with conventions of Window Explorer. Now it has the very similiar convention and more,
Within same db:
Drag/Drop item w/o key-modifiers: MOVE it as a sub item
Ctrl+Drag/Drop item: copy it as a sub item
Shift+Drag/Drop item: move it as a sub item
Ctrl+Shift+Drag/Drop item: make an item Link between the source and destination item (ie. item-links in v4)
Left-Alt+Drag/Drop item: make the item Symbolic-Link from source to destination item (See below for Symbolic-Links)
Right-Alt+Drag/Drop item: make the item Symbolic-Link from destination to source item (reversed)
Across different process:
Drag/Drop item w/o key-modifiers: COPY it as a sub item
Ctrl+: COPY
Shift+: MOVE
the rest same to above.
In addition, dragging a db item and dropping onto a custom label item, labels the item. (See below for custom labels)
7. Symbolic Link, You can think this kind of link a virtual item, which is only a tag virtually linking to another outline item. clicking this item will switch to load the pointed item. this could help when you want a item/note/document to appear in many other places around the db outline.
8. Labeling System, Allows you to create a set of custom labels, which are used to label outline items. Clicking on a label name, all items with the label are listed out in a separate child window. This allows you to catalog the database items in a quite different way from the original tree outline form.
9. Inplace wysiwyg Html Edit, Allows you to edit stored webpages in-place without having to leave the main frame. By default, clicking on an item containing a webpage, the webpage is first displayed for viewing, To edit it, simply press F2 on the webpage, the webage will go into the Edit mode, and any changes to the webpage will be saved automatically.
10. Doc-window arrangement, You can arrange document windows by using a set of Window menu items or tool buttons, ie. Cascade, Tile Vertically or Tile Horizontally…
11. The new protocol scheme nyf://, In v5, stored webpages will be viewed via nyf:// protocol scheme. that being said, the webpage will not reside in your ‘TEMP’ folder while browsing the wbpage, the embedded web browse will directly fetch it from the .nyf database, instead of from within the TEMP folder.
The rest are still under development. Any comments please drop us emails. Thanks.
