Daly - I read with sympathy your complaints about Citation over on the askSam forums. I decided not to upgrade to v9 as I couldn’t elicit any answers to questions out of the company.

On X1, I very much like it, except for one thing - the lack of an ability to use multiple indexes. In dtSearch one can very easily opt to index a particular set of files or folders, and this can be enormously helpful when trying to track down something quickly - especially with the current size of HDDs.

To some extent choosing good search parameters can do the same thing, but I find separate indexes + dtSearch’s excellent searching capabilities (especially proximity searching) keep me with it - except for Outlook’s e-mail, which X1 excels at searching.
