Steve, I wonder whether AskSam isn’t a dated concept?

For example, why spend a lot of extra money for the version that indexes every word when X1 does such an index for all documents, thus removing one of the reasons for putting everything into an AskSam file?

Programs such as Idea or MDEInfoHhandler permit convenient configurations of files to be set up by the user, regardless of where the actual files live on the hard drive?

Unless you have a specific need for the fields created on the entry forms, it seems there’s no need for AskSam. An equivalent to AskSam could be ADM, using metadata columns.

Reading the AskSam list I have had the sense that some problems re entry forms, etc. have persisted for a long time without ever being solved.
