Well, having downloaded the AskSam 6 demo, I am surprised to find that AskSam doesn’t import the tables and figure: making it useless for this task :-(

I originally replaced AskSam because I found that I was using, as you suggest a structured directory structure and DTSearch - but that doesn’t work for everything.

i have also been re-visiting my software and started using Biblioscape again, and just bought a copy of MyBase, for a very specific purpose. I am however, currently using Onfolio rather than Net Snippets because I can grab web sites and pages from Amazon, and Onfolio will export the references to EndNote, which I can then import into Biblioscape.

For most things, Zoot/Biblioscape/Onfolio/DTsearch cover everything, but for some specific purposes like this one and the grabbing infom from stats programs that I bought MyBase for, this general purpose combination doesn’t work.

I too had problems with surfsaver, and have been disappointed with the Citation support, but I see at least a few questions have been dealt with in the AskSam forums.

I have been looking at NetSnippets and Surfulator recently as part of ending up with MyBase, and they don’t really do what I want.

I may look at UltraRecall again or Idea!, but neither of these seem as well suited as I thought AskSam was going to be - until I had the table and figure problem :-(
