Another application for your 3-Dimensional model is one that came to mind when I first saw Notebox Disorganizer. When working with clients on marketing plans, I like to run through a brainstorming session in which we examine each of their target audiences. A tabular view of this exercise is very helpful, but difficult to do in Word. When I first saw ND, I thought instantly how it might be used in this process. The columns would each represent an individual audience, like so (to take an example a recent college client):
Traditional Students Adult Career Changers Adult Life-Enhancers
Then, each row would be labeled with an area we are brainstorming. For instance:
Mindset
Motivating Message
Tactics
(This is a simplified example.)
Using Brainstorm, you can record the brainstorming done for each segment of this exercise and then drop them into the appropriate cell in your table. As Alexander indicated, the one major drawback in this is the inability to actually print the table. This could be a deal-breaker.
I have yet to actually do this in reality as the opportunity has not presented itself, but I will try it the next chance I have.
