About a year-and-a-half ago, if my memory doesn’t deceive me, the not-yet-released MyInfo 3 was one of the main information managers discussed in the outliners.com discussion list. ADM was another.
MyInfo 3 was indeed released and to me seemed indeed to have delivered what it promised. Nevertheless, as far as I have read, it doesn’t seem to have become any of the contributors’ favourite outliner.
I personally had then chosen another Eastern European product, Hyperclip, whose developers unfortunately didn’t last much. The reasons for my selection had to do with a very specific feature, namely the flat index view.
I consequently substituted Hyperclip for UltraRecall, both as I considered Kinook a safer company to bet on, and again for specific features, namely its strong import/export and the ability to handle structured contact records.
All this to say that I am not quite sure why MyInfo is at the fringe of our attention, but that it is a well designed product by a company that has a clear concept of the ideal tool they want to develop.
I may also add that I would not be surprised if another “outsider”, as was UltraRecall in 2004, starts making waves in 2006. All, hopefully, for the intellectual benefit of mankind.
Amen
