Steve,

More for your convenience during your occasional use of UltraRecall and less to encourage increased use of the program, I suggest the following:

- Open the UR database that you use most often; only this instance of the program should be running.

- Customise the various panes the way it suits you best; I personally prefer to have the tree on the left at full screen height, the item details on the top right and all other panes as tabs on the bottom right. You can order tabs and select which pane is usually on top.

- Close the database; this should ensure that your preferred layout has been saved.

Henceforth, all databases you open should maintain this pane layout when opened (until you alter it yourself).
